PollDaddy now supports oEmbed!
We’re always trying to make it easier for our users to embed polls, surveys, and ratings into their pages, so it was only a matter of time before we supported oEmbed.
For the uninitiated, oEmbed is an open standard created by the guys at Flickr, OpenDNS, and Pwonce, and is used to embed media such video and pictures. With the new PollDaddy support you can also embed polls, surveys and ratings!
Anyone with a blog will tell you: the best thing about the social media sharing revolution is the “sharing” part.
Webmonkey have written a good Getting Started with oEmbed if you want to find out about the details.
Where oEmbed is supported, PollDaddy users can post something like:
http://polldaddy.com/oembed?url=http%3A%2F%2Fanswers.polldaddy.com%2Fpoll%2F2064343%2F&format=json
A poll will be embedded into their page – nice!
Further information on how to use oEmbed on Polldaddy can be found on the PollDaddy oEmbed support page.
